Adam Pate

Adam Pate

Adam Pate is the proprietor of Croft View Construction. Adam carried out his joinery apprenticeship with Storey Construction aged 16. He then became a professional rugby player for Barrow Raiders in Cumbria and Cessnock Goannas in Australia, but had to retire early due to injury. Following 6 years of joinery employment, building up his skill set and competency, he started Croft View Construction in 2006 as a sole trader. Due to Adam's extremely high level of skill, determination and quality of workmanship the Company has gone from strength to strength with an ever growing team.

Joe Birch

Joe Birch

Joe worked on his family farm in Bakewell and carried out his joinery apprenticeship in 2009 with Brocklehurst Property Maintenance. He competed in CITB's SkillBuild, coming second in 2009’s regional final and first in 2010’s regional final at the age of 18.
Joe's biggest claim to fame is that he appeared on the Bafta winning show 'The Island with Bear Grylls' in 2014! He loved the experience.
After meeting the love of his life and moving up to Cumbria he joined Croft View Construction in November 2015. We are extremely happy to have him on board as he is not only highly skilled and trustworthy, but he is an all round nice guy and someone we hope to have on our team for years to come.

Lewis Wilde

Lewis is originally from Glasgow but moved to Carlisle in order to be able to work for Croft View.
Lewis enjoys tug of war and playing pool.

George Hutton

George Hutton

George is an apprentice in the Croft View Team. We were extremely impressed by George's professional attitude to gaining his apprenticeship position with us. George is already proving to be a valued member of the team, joining in well and most importantly working hard with a dedicated attitude. His enthusiasm will take him far in his course and we look forward to helping him along his way. In his spare time George is a keen football player, regularly playing for Abbeytown. He also enjoys keeping fit at the gym and socialising with his friends.

Peter Marshall

With 29 years of experience in the construction industry Peter has joined our team as Working Site Manager. Peter has excellent problem solving and communication skills and has proven to be conscientious and reliable. He enjoys training and mentoring apprentices and offers them support when required. Peter and his wife have three beautiful daughters and he enjoys darts, fishing, running and taking part in his local Leek growing competition.
We are thrilled to have Peter join our growing team in 2016 and he is already proving himself to be an excellent asset to the company and a great team player.

Alison Pate

Alison Pate is Adam's wife. She is always on hand to support in the office and support the team with the view to making sure everyone is happy, healthy, and glad to be at work.
Ali is originally from Gloucestershire and moved to Carlisle to live with Adam. She works part time for Croft View Construction, and the rest of the time is at home looking after their two small daughters. She is a keen horse rider, new yoga enthusiast, wants to save the world from harsh chemicals and is a general busy body!

Mike Pate

Mike qualified as a plumber and heating engineer in the 1960's, with an established firm John Corbetts. In 1979 Mike became self-employed and registered with CORGI, now known as Gas Safe. Two years ago Mike semi-retired and is now employed by his son, Adam, for Croft View Construction.
Mike's Saturdays involve refereeing at Cumbria Rugby Union matches, and he plays 5-a-side football on Friday evenings. If Mike is not fishing in Australia you will find him trout fishing on the River Eden.

Stacey McEwan

Stacey McEwan joined us in March 2017, poached for her excellent work ethics and skills she can bring to our team. She is working with Ali in the office as a Office and Quality Co-coordinator. Stacey studied and achieved her BA (Hons) Business Management Degree. Stacey has worked for the University of Cumbria for 5 years in a Administration role and then went on to System Training where she worked for the Quality and Audit team for a further 5 years. Stacey lives in Eastriggs and has got a husband and 2 small children, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Dan enjoys going to the gym and walking in the Lake District. He has a passion for taking on projects and enjoying seeing them grow and progress and participating in activities with groups.
We are very excited to have him join our team and to see what he can bring to the Company.

Janine HR pic

Janine Toms

Janine came on board to do a bit of marketing, business development, and interfering. She works alongside Stacey.
She has no claim to fame besides some childhood TV appearances (autograph requests can be made through our contact form) and a single (self) published children's book.
A talent for, or obsession with, words is what has landed her in marketing. Her hobbies include reading and design. She loves spending quality time with family and friends and is a keen collector (hoarder) of vintage items of dubious practicality.
